Business Profile
This documentation covers the setup and modification of a company's core registration details within the AccuBooks Plus accounting system.
Purpose
The Main Information section serves as the foundational data source for your accounting system. Properly configuring this section ensures that:
- Tax Compliance: The system maps your business type and registration details correctly to official BIR (Bureau of Internal Revenue) forms.
- Document Accuracy: Your official business name, trade name, and business code are accurately printed on sales invoices, receipts, and financial reports.
- System Identification: It uniquely identifies your account and sub-businesses for multi-entity tracking.
Step-by-Step Guide: Accessing and Editing Main Information
Step 1: Navigate to Business Profile
- Log into your AccuBooks Plus account.
- Look at the left-hand sidebar navigation panel.
- Scroll down to the SETUP section.
- Click on BUSINESS SETTINGS to expand the menu, then select Business Profile.
Step 2: Review Existing Profile Details
By default, you will land on the Main Information tab. Review the following key fields:
- Business Code: A unique short code identifying the entity (e.g.,
ABD). - Business Name: The official registered name of your company (e.g.,
AccuBooks Demo). - Trade Name (Doing Business As): The brand name your customers see (if different from the registered corporate name).
- Business Type: Your legal structure (e.g., Corporation, Sole Proprietorship, Partnership).
- Nature of Business: The primary industry or service type (e.g., Restaurants, fast food, catering).
- Business Registration Number: Your SEC or DTI registration number.
- Date Established: The official start date of the business.
Step 3: Modify or Edit the Information
- Scroll to the bottom of the page or look for the action buttons.
- Click the blue Edit button.
- Update the required text fields or dropdown menus with your latest legal and operational information.
- (Optional) Use the Attachments block by clicking Add if you need to upload supporting legal files (such as a BIR Certificate of Registration Form 2303, SEC papers, or Mayor's Permit).
Step 4: Save Changes
- Once all edits are complete, click Save (or Update) to commit the changes to the system.
- Verify that the updated details correctly reflect on the summary screen.
Additional Profile Sections
To complete the full business setup, you can use the internal Navigation pane on the page to jump to adjacent profile tabs:
- Address & Contact Information: For billing and physical location details.
- Financial & Tax Information: For managing your fiscal year-end configuration and Tax Identification Number (TIN) settings.
